SELECTION CRITERIA

Popularity Awards involve a voting process where everyone can vote for their favorite nominees in 11 categories. The nominees with the highest number of votes in each category are then recognized as the winners of the Popularity Awards.

Categories -

• Emerging Batter: Only leather ball players aged 6-15 years with the most runs scored are considered.
• Emerging Bowler: Only leather ball players aged 6-15 years with the most wickets taken are considered.
• Veteran Batter: Players aged 40-70 years with the most runs scored are considered.
• Veteran Bowler: Players aged 40-70 years with the most wickets taken are considered. In case of a tie, bowling economy will be considered.
• Scorer of the Year: Based on the number of ratings collected in 2024. In case of a tie, the average rating will be considered.
• Umpire of the Year: Must be registered as an umpire in the community and as a match official. Total ratings and matches umpired in 2024 will be considered.
• Organizer of the Year: Based on the highest number of tournaments organized in 2024 (started and ended in the same year), with a minimum of 6 matches and 4 teams per tournament.
• Commentator of the Year: Based on the number of ratings collected in 2024. In case of a tie, the average rating will be considered.
• Team of the Year: Must be a verified team. Based on the highest number of matches won in 2024. In case of a tie, the win percentage will be considered.
• Live Streamer of the Year: Based on the highest number of videos linked and the maximum use of score tickers.
• Ground of the Year: Considers only leather ball matches of 10+ overs played in 2024, excludes community grounds, and is based on the total number of matches played.

Overall criteria -

• Limited Overs matches with 10+ overs are considered. Only genuine matches.
• All completed past matches with no deleted matches are considered.
• Only verified players who have played in full grounds are considered.

Most runs scored in 2024 are considered. If the number of runs are same, batting average has been considered.

Overall criteria -

• All completed past matches with no deleted matches are considered.
• Only verified players who have played in full grounds are considered.

Most centuries scored in 2024 are considered.

Overall criteria -

• Limited Overs matches with 10+ overs are considered. Only genuine matches.

• Only verified players who have played in full grounds are considered.

The most number of 5-wicket hauls in 2024 are considered. If the number of 5-wicket hauls is same, most wickets in 2024 are considered.

• Only verified players who have played in full grounds are considered.

Only leather ball players between the ages of 6-15 years with most wickets taken are considered.

Profiles that mention being a wicket-keeper and most dismissals, including stumpings, caught behind, and runouts in 2024 are considered.

Overall criteria -

• Limited Overs matches with 10+ overs are considered. Only genuine matches.
• All completed past matches with no deleted matches are considered.
• Only verified players who have played in full grounds are considered.

Overall criteria -

Players with most dismissals throughout their career are considered.*

*Players who have been in the Hall of Fame category previously are not considered.

Profiles without mention of 'Wicket Keeper' are eligible. The players with most outfield dismissals in 2024 are considered.

Overall criteria -

• All completed past matches with no deleted matches are considered.
• Only verified players who have played in full grounds are considered.

Players who have batted and bowled in the same match, along with highest MVP in 2024, are considered.

Overall criteria -

• Limited Overs matches with 10+ overs are considered. Only genuine matches.
• All completed past matches with no deleted matches are considered.
• Only verified players who have played in full grounds are considered.

Overall criteria -

Lifetime MVP as an all-rounder, having batted and bowled in the same match, are considered.*

*Players who have been in the Hall of Fame category previously are not considered.

Players between the age 40-70 years with the highest total of Batting and Bowling MVP will be considered.

Overall criteria -

• 10+ Limited overs with no fake matches are considered.
• All completed past matches with no deleted matches are considered.
• Only verified players who have played in full grounds are considered.

Overall criteria -

• Tournaments that started and ended in 2024 are considered.
• Min 8 teams and most number of matches played are considered.
• 100% matches scored should be live streamed.

Overall criteria -

Teams with a minimum of 100 matches and the highest win percentage are considered.

Overall criteria -

The highest win percentage as a captain with a minimum of 100 matches led in 2024 are considered.
